Program

The Program in detail

As a participant in the Screen Music Program, you will:

  • attend the lecture and masterclass of our special guests Pinar Toprak, Sean Callery, Michael Abels, Simon Franglen, and David Buckley
  • attend daily lectures on Spotting and Scoring, Orchestration, Compositional Devices, Applied Composition to DAW Scoring, Music under Dialogue and Narration by Alison Plante, Enrica Sciandrone, and Robbie Teehan
  • have individual Scoring Lessons with Alison Plante, Enrica Sciandrone, and Robbie Teehan
  • attend the adaptive music workshop by Davide Pensato and Luigi Di Guida with in-game testing: Structural Elements of Interactive Music, Introduction to Audio Implementation, Presentation and Analysis of the Project to be Developed during the Workshop, Asset Production, Testing in Game, Elements of Mixing and Finalization
  • get your end-of-course certificate of achievement
  • be part of the Program’s Alumni and join one of the largest international network of film composers, accessing new opportunities, commissions, collaborations, and screenings

All classes are taught in English. The tuition for the artistic residency is €2,800 (EARLY BIRD) or €3,200 (REGULAR), including:

  • lodging in spacious shared rooms
  • meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner), providing the most typical Italian cuisine
  • recreational activities to enjoy nature and the time together
  • a day trip to Venice, offering a magical glimpse into one of the world’s most beautiful cities
  • shuttle service from/to Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) on the first day and on the last day of the festival
